Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small text file a website can place on your device to remember something between pages or visits. Local storage and session storage work in a similar way: they let a site keep a small piece of information in your browser rather than send it back to a server each time. We refer to all of these together in this policy.

yachtchartersttropez.com sets no cookies of its own. We also do not install any third-party analytics, advertising or social-media trackers — no pixels, no ad networks, no behavioural profiling of any kind.

To understand how our charter pages are used, we run a small measurement script served from our own domain, not from a third party. It records:

• pages viewed and time spent on each page
• the referring website and any campaign parameters in the link (UTM tags or ad click ID)
• device type, browser, operating system and screen size
• browser language and the country derived from your IP address

The IP address itself is not stored. If you send an enquiry or tap a WhatsApp or phone link, that action is linked to the same visit so we can see which channel brought the enquiry in — for example, a search for a day-boat versus a catamaran, or an enquiry about one of our 97 listed yachts. This measurement relies on the local-storage identifiers described below and never on cookies.

Three small items are kept in your browser, none of which contains your name, email or phone number:

• a flag confirming you closed the cookie notice, kept in local storage until you clear it
• the yacht you last clicked on, kept in session storage so the enquiry form can prefill itself, deleted when you close the tab or send the form
• the anonymous visitor and session identifiers used for the visit measurement described above, kept in local storage for 30 days after your last visit

Details of each are set out in the table above.

Two external services are called when you load our pages:

• Google Fonts supplies the typefaces used across the site; Google receives your IP address when your browser requests the font files
• jsDelivr serves the intl-tel-input library used to format the phone field in our enquiry form; jsDelivr receives your IP address when your browser requests that file

Neither sets a cookie on our behalf, and we do not pass any further information to them.

The WhatsApp buttons on our yacht pages set nothing on this site until you actually tap one. When you do, we record the page URL, referrer, language and the prefilled message text in our own booking system, then open WhatsApp. From that point, the conversation runs on WhatsApp, operated by Meta, under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.

You can view, block or delete local storage and session storage at any time through your browser's settings, usually under privacy or site data. Clearing this storage will make the cookie notice reappear and reset the yacht prefill on the enquiry form, and it will give you a new visit measurement identifier on your next visit. None of this affects your ability to contact us, request a quote, or charter a yacht through Yacht Charter Saint-Tropez.

We may update this page if the site changes. If we ever introduce optional cookies, such as for marketing, we will ask for your consent first, before any such cookie is set, in line with Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and the cookie guidelines published by the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL, www.cnil.fr), the French supervisory authority for data protection.
